Day 1-Manassas to Nashville

Our first day was rainy!!  It went from sunshine in Manassas, to rain, to pouring down so hard we couldn't see the road in front of us rain as we moved southwest.  At one point in Tennessee, a police car was driving ahead of traffic with its lights on so everyone would slow down.  The state police were out in force in Virginia...21 along the medians on 81.  Once we crossed into Tennessee, they disappeared except to help people who had crashed and ended up off the road, probably due to hydroplaning!  Once in Nashville, it continued to rain, but that didn't stop us!  We ate dinner at Jack's Bar-B-Que, and it was a great experience.  Thanks to Mr. Dye, James and Claire's band teacher, for that recommendation.

We will be roaming the streets of Nashville again, trying to cover as much as possible today.
